Everyone of us hear and use the word Success quite often and most of us do feel to own it and brighten our lives… We don't even dare to hear the word "Failure" in our life..
Surprisingly, to everyone's knowledge the word Success appears in the dictionary after " hard work" and Failure does come in before "hard work"...
This might be a coincidence in the the English language but iam afraid, the dual role played by the two words in our real lives hold cent percent true with regards to putting in enduring hardwork…!
We often attribute our failures to our ill luck which most of us think is written on our fate or is being manifested in our horoscopes..and so in this process not even try to delineate the exact reasons for our pitfalls..
Simple tonic for this would be to avoid harping on “if’s and but’s” of the past
I was really caught with an awe-inspiring thought when i was reading Shiv Khera's greatest work "U can Win" in which he says.
"Success is not determined by how well we do when compared to others but how well we perform compared to our own capabilities"
The underlying meaning engulfing this message is really wonderful n may change our thought processes if we just give a small thought to it..
It is based on our own capabilities and abilities that we carve our own survival in this world..
If we as an individual “develop ourselves” perfecting on our own capabilities in the first place rather than keep craving and envying on other’s well being then I hope luck and success both comes our way!!
I wouldn’t deny the fact that our existence is not predestined by Successes…
Failures do crop up and are needed to everyone at certain points of time to probably hone up our scanty abilities and skills.
As a popular saying goes like..”we wouldnot know the importance of positive if negative doesn’t exist”..like wise it applies to the success-failure duo..
Perhaps we donot realize the importance and the flavour of success if it creeps in every part of our life.…
If failures are taken for granted as bringing in fear of future due to uncertaininty, worry about present due to the dubious performances delivered, dejected moods due to past mistakes, then definitely we are overshadowing the brighter side of it because of may be our own pre-conceived notions..
Infact they give us a hint to struggle more, a positive hope to achieve the next time,,a premonition of a right effort at the wrong time or vice-versa..
As there are always two sides of a coin, if they are accepted with the right kind of attitude then our lives may very well flow with milk and honey leading us to our right destinations…!
